Powder Coat Finish

SiteScapes PowderCoat is a high-performance standard coating system designed to provide durable, long-lasting protection for exterior applications.

All steel components undergo abrasive blasting to remove mill scale, rust, and surface contaminants, followed by a multi-stage cleaning and pretreatment process. A zirconium conversion coating is applied to enhance corrosion resistance and promote long-term coating adhesion.

A TGIC polyester powder coating is then electrostatically applied and oven cured to form a smooth, uniform, and resilient finish.

Coating Characteristics

  • TGIC polyester powder coating
  • Meets AAMA 2604 architectural coating standards
  • Typical coating thickness: 3–5 mils
  • Uniform, non-porous finish for improved durability
  • Strong resistance to UV exposure, fading, and general wear

Performance

  • Designed for long-term outdoor use in standard environments
  • Provides consistent color retention and surface protection
  • Suitable for parks, schools, commercial spaces, and public-use applications

Warranty

Powder Coat products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of invoice. Pearl, Ivory, and non-standard colors are warranted for one (1) year from the date of invoice.

Duracoat Finish

DuraCoat is SiteScapes premium, multi-layer coating system engineered to provide superior corrosion resistance and extended product life in more demanding environments.

This system builds on our standard Powder Coat process by adding a zinc-rich epoxy powder undercoat beneath an architectural-grade polyester topcoat. Steel components are abrasive blasted and cleaned to remove mill scale, weld residue, and surface contaminants. A zirconium conversion coating is applied to improve adhesion and corrosion resistance. A zinc-rich epoxy powder undercoat is electrostatically applied and cured to form a corrosion-resistant base layer that protects the steel, including welded joints and edges.

A TGIC polyester powder topcoat is then applied and fully cured, creating a durable, weather-resistant outer layer.

Coating Characteristics

  • Includes all characteristics of Standard Powder Finish
  • Zinc-rich epoxy powder undercoat (2–4 mils)
  • TGIC polyester powder topcoat (3–5 mils)
  • Total system thickness: approximately 5–9 mils

Performance Advantages

  • Enhanced corrosion protection through zinc-rich epoxy base layer
  • Improved durability in coastal, high-moisture, and de-icing salt environments
  • Superior resistance to chipping, abrasion, and weathering
  • Multi-layer system provides greater long-term performance than a standard single-coat powder system
  • Sealed surfaces and welds help prevent moisture intrusion

Warranty

DuraCoat products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of seven (7) years from the date of invoice. Pearl, Ivory, and non-standard colors are warranted for one (2) year from the date of invoice.
